In order to make successful business in the international market, effective communication with co-workers, customers and suppliers is essential.

This customized course was designed for the needs of the logistic industry and offers an overview of the business relevant language and the ways it is used in this industry. The course is based on the teaching material “English for Logistics” of the Oxford Business English Professional series. Complementary to the course, extra material from Atlas Business Language is provided that offers practice in various situations. In this course the participants learn and consolidate phrases and strategies for an effective and adequate communication with carriers and custom offices.

Example topics:

• Typical abbreviations in the logistic industry, 3PL-suppliers
• Types of transport and containers, types of freight
• Planning and arranging of transports, ways of transportation, measures, preparing quotes

Language skills:

This course complies with participants of the language level B1+ - B2 of the Alte-scale of the Alte-scale (www.alte.org). However, it can be adapted to higher or lower levels. The course is also available for advanced learners of the language level C1.
